About Us

Founded in 1997, Metropolitan Protective Services, Inc. (MPSI) has continuously been providing a full-range of security services to local, state, and federal government facilities, financial and educational institutions, and commercial and residential communities throughout the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. One of our very first clients, The Department of Veteran Affairs remains a client that we have proudly served without interruption, for over 18 years.

With over 20 years of experience, MPSI is comprised of local law enforcement and military veterans dedicated to keeping our nation safe. In 2015, Metropolitan Protective Services, Inc. was awarded theBusiness of the Year Award by the Prince George County, Chamber of Commerce and awarded the Law Enforcement Leader Award by the Prince George County, Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation; in addition to numerous other professional and civic awards.

As Metropolitan Protective Services, Inc. continues to grow and acquire new clients we also continue to hone our expertise. As a part of our commitment to quality, we believe in a dynamic corporate structure that places only three levels of management between our CEO and our on-site management. As a result, we remain easy to do business with and flexible enough to readily adjust to changes in your security requirements.

Our process

At Metropolitan Protective Services, Inc., we view every client relationship like a partnership and genuinely believe that our success only comes with your success. 

STEP 1: COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION

Our complimentary consultation involves a detailed discussion about your security needs and concerns. During the consult, we will discuss what type of property you have, the number of officers needed, the project timeline, etc.

STEP 2: SCHEDULE AN ON-SITE VISIT

In order to fully assess your security needs, our Director of Operations will then arrange to meet with you on-site for a walk-through and to clarify exactly what your security plan will be.

 

STEP 3: DRAFT PROPOSAL

Following the consultation and walk-thru, we will provide a detailed proposal that includes an honest and accurate quote. We are more than willing to work with you to achieve a mutual agreement on expectations, terms and scope of service. ​Proposals can be sent via email or fax, or presented in person.

STEP 4: DEVELOP YOUR CUSTOMIZED SECURITY PLAN

Once the proposal is accepted, We craft the final security plan and post orders based upon the contract, prior conversations with the client, and what we learn from our site visits. Post orders consist of detailed instructions to inform our guards of their duties.

 

STEP 5: SELECT & TRAIN SECURITY PERSONNEL

We take into consideration skill set, experience, and personality when deciding which of our guards will best serve your needs. Chosen guards will then be trained on the post orders designed for your site, and given any additional pertinent information they’ll need to properly protect your site.

 

STEP 6: IMPLEMENTATION

Guards will arrive on-time, dressed appropriately, and prepared for work. All our guards are required to wear clearly identifiable security attire as dictated by the environment, ranging from professional to casual. Our security measures includes daily communication between guards and management, and mandatory weekly in-house meetings to keep all of our personnel up-to-date on our client needs.
